Duelling: without the blood!

The Club was founded over 30 years ago, and even today some of the founder members still fence enthusiastically on a Tuesday night.

Luton Sword Club is based at Manshead Upper School, Dunstable Road, Caddington in Bedfordshire  and fences on a Tuesday evening (term time only) from 7.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m.  Foil, epée and sabre are fenced.

We have an annual club competition, we fence in the local league and we also have regular 'friendly' competitions with other local clubs.

Beginners over the age of 11 are welcome and a six week course has been designed for the first time fencer to get an idea of what the sport is all about. Please note that children under 16 should be accompanied by an adult, even if that adult is not actually taking part in the fencing.

Please note: due to limitations on space and equipment, we currently have a waiting list for the beginners' course. We can add you to the list, but it may be several months before we have any spaces available.
